Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a theatre actor writer, director, and actor) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her mother and an actress. She is the daughter of Dana Wood, a musician, as well as Ira David Wood III, an actor. Evan and her brothers performed at Theatre In The Park, Raleigh, where her father serves as the executive director. She was just five when she was auditioning for the role in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). She moved to Los Angeles with her mom and brother Ira in 1996 and has seen success since and has been featured in a variety of TV series, TV movies and feature films. Tracy was her character in Practical Magic (1998) and in S1m0ne (2002 Al Pacino's daughter). Holly Hunter followed with Thirteen (2004).
