Evan Rachel Wood

Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a theatre actor writer, director, and actor) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her mother and an actress. She is the daughter of Dana Wood, a musician, as well as Ira David Wood III, an actor. Evan and her brothers performed at Theatre In The Park, Raleigh, where her father serves as the executive director. She was just five when she was auditioning for the role in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). She moved to Los Angeles with her mom and brother Ira in 1996 and has seen success since and has been featured in a variety of TV series, TV movies and feature films. Tracy was her character in Practical Magic (1998) and in S1m0ne (2002 Al Pacino's daughter). Holly Hunter followed with Thirteen (2004). Her role as Tracy in "Thirteen" brought her a Golden Globes nomination for Best Performance by an actress in the genre of Motion Picture: Drama and for a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Actress Female in an Leading Role. She was the first actress nominated for an Emmy or Golden Globe nomination for a Leading Role award at the time. In her role as Veda Pierce, in the HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce (2011), she received an Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Her dramatic portrayal of Stephanie Rourke's estranged kid in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008) earned her recognition. She is the daughter of Sara Wood and Ira David Wood III. The younger sister of Ira David Wood IV and Dana Wood. She is a trained dancer. She is a singer, loves to ride a horseback, and rollerblade. She has a black belt in tae kwon do. Is still in touch with the majority of her Once and Again (1999) co-stars: Mischa Barton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
