Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on the 2nd of December, 1981. She moved to Kentwood (Louisiana). As a young girl, Britney attended dance classes and excelled in gymnastics, winning numerous events and such. Britney loves to sing and dance, but more importantly, she was in love with dance classes. Britney was only 8 years old when she attempted to join The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), however her age and youth led to her being rejected. This led her to an off-Broadway show, "Ruthless", for 2 years as the title character. At the age of 11, she again tried for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and was this time able to make the show as a mouseketeer with several stars of the day (Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez from *NSYNC as well as Ryan Gosling). Her big break, however, was when she was signed as Jive Recording Artists in the late 1990s. Britney's debut album, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as in July 1, 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Do It Again" that was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has a big brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. From the time she was a kid, Britney was always fixing to become a famous singer with her idols including Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney was constantly singing, no matter what else was going on in the world around her. After years of intensive vocal and dance lessons, as well as participating in numerous show and fairs Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) television show (1989-1994) at the age of age 8 but was too young to get the role. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister moved to New York where she starred in several TV adverts and an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", where she was understudy with Natalie Portman. Her passion for dancing and music took over and, 2 years after that, she was auditioning for an appearance on "Mickey Mouse" again and, this time, got the part with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
