Aisha Hinds, an American actor best recognized for her roles on the tv shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has proven her ability to act in a variety of roles by performing outstandingly in TV programs like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. It was initially noticed because of her character Anna in the 2005 movie Assault on Precinct 13. However it was her performance as women's rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer, in the biography film All the Way that finally brought her recognition as an actress. Hind was recognized for her role as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historic drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The show was renewed for its third season by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind has recently finished filming the Hollywood feature Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is scheduled to release mid-2019.
