Meg Ryan

Meg Ryan, blonde-haired and blue-eyed Meg Ryan, blonde-haired and blue-eyed, was born Margaret Mary Emily Hyra in Fairfield Connecticut to Susan (Duggan) an ex- actor and English teacher, as well as Harry Hyra, a maths teacher. Ruthenian as well as Polish, Irish, German, and German descent. "Hyra" is her maternal grandmother's maiden name is Ruthenian. Meg graduated from Bethel high school in Bethel in June 1979. Meg was a small part in Top Gun (1986), which led to her casting in Steven Spielberg's Innerspace (1987) where she starred alongside Dennis Quaid. She was again in the same role with Dennis Quaid in the remake of D.O.A. (1988) and married in Saint Valentine's Day 1991. Meg was in When Harry Met Sally... (1989), which made the scene at the restaurant famous. Meg was nominated to both the Golden Globe and the BAFTA. In 1990, she co-starred with Tom Hanks in Joe Versus the Volcano (1990) and this time she played three roles as DeDe/Angelica/Patricia. In 1993, she appeared with Tom in Sleepless in Seattle (1993), for which she was again nominated for the Golden Globe. Meg was able to break away from the trend in 1994, when she played the part of Meg's drunken wife and mother "When a Man Loves a Woman" (1994). After that, she went back to "cute" with both I.Q. (1994) as well as French Kiss (1995). In 1994, Meg won the Harvard Hasty Pudding Award for being "Woman of the Year" and was selected as one of "The 50 most beautiful people in the world in 1994" by People Magazine.
