Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis, an actor and musician is well-known for his sharp-edged character or funny characters in action films. He has been in over $2.5 billion dollars worth of films. Walter Bruce Willis was born on the 19th of March, 1955, in Idar-Oberstein in West Germany, to a German mother, Marlene Kassel, and an American father, David Andrew Willis (from Carneys Point, New Jersey) They were living at the United States military base. The family moved to the U.S. soon after he was born. Willis was raised in Penns Grove by his mother, who worked at an establishment that was a bank, while his father, a welding and factory worker and welder. Willis developed an interest for the dramatic arts in high school and was allegedly "discovered" when he was working at a cafe in New York City and then appeared in a couple of off-Broadway productions. As a bartender one night, he was seen by an acting director who liked his persona and was in need of a bartender for a small movie part. After many auditions, Willis made a few film appearances which were usually uncredited. He then taking on the role of the private investigator "David Addison" alongside the gorgeous Cybill Shepherd on the popular romantic comedy television show Moonlighting (1985). His witty and sarcastic P.I. is seen by some as an exercise in preparation for the role of hard-boiled NYC detective "John McClane" in the monster-movie Die Hard (1988), in which Willis McClane's character battled an uncompromising gang of international thieves within the Los Angeles skyscraper. In Die Hard 2 (1990) He reprised the role. A group of rebellious Special Forces soldiers is trying to return a corrupt South American general. They are located in Washington's Dulles International Airport. Excellent box office returns demanded another sequel, Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), this time with co-star Samuel L. Jackson as a cynical Harlem shop owner who has been sucked into supporting McClane during a terrorist attack campaign on a sweltering day in New York.
