Will Ferrell was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going into the big screen to play comedy like 'Elf "Anchorman," and Talladega Nights. In 1967, in Irvine, California, Will Ferrell began his comedy career as part of the improv troupe based in Los Angeles, the Groundlings. He was an Saturday Night Live cast member for seven seasons and was a major comedic draw through off-color successes, including Old School 2003 and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy 2004. Ferrell was also a co-founder of the wildly popular video streaming site Funny or Die, and enjoyed success as a voiceover actor in animated films such as Megamind (2010). The oldest son of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell and teacher Kay Ferrell, Will was--by his own admissions--not the class clown as a student at University High School. He was quiet and studious but he did choose to play football who set a school record
